Workshops in Collaboration with Autisme Sans Limites

For several weeks, via the Documentary Hub, we have had the pleasure of collaborating with Autisme Sans Limites to give the opportunity to young adults with autism to write a short documentary play. These workshops are designed and led by playwright Agathe Foucault. 

The workshops are divided into three phases:  

5 Research and Writing Workshops  

Activities include:  

  • Choosing an issue.  
  • Conducting research by asking questions.  
  • Discussing findings with other workshop participants.  
  • Learning how to conduct good interviews and turn them into theatre!  

3 acting workshops 

Activities include:  

  • Rehearsing lines, and learning how to perform and speak in front of an audience.  
  • Learning how to follow direction, and receive advice on acting. 
  • Interpreting the characters in your own story and those of the other participants!  

Presenting your play  

At the end of the workshop series, the participants have the opportunity to present their short play to an invited audience. Each play will be read and followed by an open discussion.
