We recently worked with the renowned Montreal photographer, Serge Clément, to create some publicity photos for Sexy béton. Look out for the professional shots coming soon. For now I’ll share my own amateur efforts to capture the scene.
We were underneath the Turcot Exchange, on Hadley Street, staging shots on the porch of this remarkable house Annabel had found. We wanted to create an image that portrays the conflict between a human habitat and the colossal and alienating presence of human infrastructure. This conflict is at the heart of Sexy béton.
Arriving after six o’clock, we stayed on the improvised set for a couple of hours until the light faded and the adjacent streetlight came on. The effect created was a little ominous. The atmosphere doesn’t shine through in the following photos, but it sure will in Serge’s.
