Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Justice John H Gomery to the Porte Parole experience. He watched Sexy béton II : Justice, and after the play, hosted a conversation around the theme of government corruption and the legal system. There were several lawyers in the room, many of whom decried the growing complexity and cost of legal cases, which puts justice out of the reach of many ordinary Canadians.

David Lefebvre from MonThéâtre.qc.ca was in attendance, and zeroed in on this encouraging quote from yesterday’s discussion:
“Il faut que cette pièce voyage, qu’elle tourne dans les cégeps et les universités pour conscientiser les jeunes,” Martin Faucher, metteur en scène.
