The other day, I got the chance to sit down with the director of Parts I and 2 of Sexy béton, André Perrier. He was in the middle of an all-day rehearsal but gave us fifteen minutes of his time to talk about Montréal’s infrastructure issues and the challenge of bringing them alive in a documentary play. In this video, he discusses how it is important to him – as a director – to refrain from judging the different points of view presented in the play. He also gives a brief insight into the unique process that the Porte Parole team follows in which actors actually meet in real life the characters that they inhabit on the stage.
Thanks to Laura Kneale, who co-produced this short video with me.
