Porte Parole at Pecha Kucha

This evening, we will be presenting Porte Parole at Pecha Kucha; doors are at 7:30pm, presentations start at 8:20pm. What is Pecha Kucha? As you can read here “PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide.”

The Pecha Kucha format calls for each presentation to consist of 20 slides, each one displayed for 20 seconds. The total presentation time is 6 minutes and 40 seconds. No exceptions! Porte Parole’s presentation will trace the origins of our theatre company and illustrate how we’ve made use of the news headlines to create moving plays that are scripted from primary sources. Many of the photos are professional, beautiful shots from our plays.

Massive props to Christine Prefontaine for recommending Pecha Kucha to us, and Neale McDavitt Van-Fleet for his creative work in helping assemble the presentation. (Neale also made this blog by the way!)

Come on down to Pecha Kucha and be entertained and informed!
