Political polarisation and social rifts are putting democratic societies to the test. Alex Ivanovici, Annabel Soutar and Brett Watson shine a spotlight on these divisions by creating a theatrical space for discussion between citizens with opposing views.

J’aime Hydro

Annabel Soutar, playwright, Founder and Artistic Director of Porte Parole, propels actress Christine into a citizen’s enquiry into Hydro-Québec. This documentary play presents opposing points of view that will determine Quebec’s future.  

Rose in the Machine

Parenthood presents many challenges, but a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) increases them all the more. Following the diagnosis, Maude tries to understand and support her daughter. With insight and tenderness, Maude documents the failings of both the heath and education systems.

When François learns that his parents are moving into an old people’s home, he is shock. He decides to immerse himself for a month in the private seniors’ residence Les Jardins du patrimone, in Val-d’Or.
